Basado en el libro Felipe Pirela de Eduardo Fernández, este filme - sin ser un documental pues tiene toques de ficción - retrata la vida del cantante venezolano, mejor conocido como El Bolerista de América. Enfoca sus comienzos en una emisora de radio en su natal Maracaibo, su conquista de los mercados y plazas internacionales.También hay lugar para lo que se describe como “su encuentro con el amor de su vida, una niña, un sueño de felicidad imposible. Un bolero que le perseguirá hasta el final de su vida.” Pirela fue asesinado en San Juan, Puerto Rico, en 1972.

Inspired by the book, Felipe Pirela, written by Eduardo Fernández, this film, which is not a documentary because it has an element of fiction, reviews the life of the Venezuelan singer better known as America´s Crooner. It shows how it all begins at a radio station in his native Maracaibo and how he goes on to conquer the international markets and stage. Interlaced is what is described as “an encounter with the love of his life, a girl, an impossible dream. A bolero that will haunt him until the end of his life. ” Pirela was killed in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in 1972.

El documental relata a través de los ojos de Loly los orígenes del deporte bodyboarding, su desarrollo en un deporte extremo de perfil multicultural y destaca la importancia de atletas puertorriqueños y latinoamericanos en el deporte.

This is the inspiring filmed story of the international bodyboarding star, Luz “Loly” Grande which takes us on her mission to impact the lives of underprivileged children or those with functional diversity in Puerto Rico and Latin America. The documentary tells the story through Loly’s eyes, where she narrates the origins of bodyboarding and its development into an extreme sport of multicultural profile. It also stresses the importance of Puertorican and Latinamerican athletes in this sport.
