This thriller is the directorial debut of Panamanian Ricardo Aguilar-Navarro and Cuban Manolito Rodríguez, and tells the story of a young man who returns home to Panama for the first time after living in exile since early childhood to cope with the nefarious heritage of a father who is a criminal. Salsipuedes is a drama that meticulously exposes the deadly codes of the underworld, police corruption and family secrets.

In the middle of a plague of mosquitoes, Leonardo battles the end of a romantic relationship and goes to live with his grandfather who fights everything and everyone, and his father who suffers the melancholy of that which has not ended.
